Guild Ranks & Requirements
The following is a list of the guild rankings and requirements needed to achieve each rank. Please note that rank advancement will not be granted automatically but must be requested from one of the guild officers once all of the requirements are met.
Peasant
This is the initiate rank within our guild and is the rank that is given to members when they first join the guild.
Citizen
This is the second rank in our guild. At this point, players of this rank should be logging in regularly and should have shown a willingness to help others. In order to be promoted to the rank of Citizen, the person needs to accomplish the following:
- Read the Guild Guildlines and Code of Conduct thread in the General Discussion forum, and enter a reply that you have read and agree to the terms of this guild.
- Serve as a Peasant for at least one week.
- Have no negative comments on their record.
Squire
When a player reaches this third rank, they are well on the way to proving themselves in the eyes of the guild. They are helping others and have been able to successfully access and use the guild resources. The following are the requirements for being promoted to Squire:
- Identify at least two guild members they have helped quest or run an instance.
- Serve as a Citizen for a minimum of four weeks.
- Have at least one post in a forum discussion on our guild website.
- Have a skill level of at least 50 in one of their primary professions such as crafting, mining, gathering, skinning, etc.
- Have no negative comments on their record within the past 30 days.
Noble
Players reaching this fourth rank in the guild are truly worthy of respect. They have demonstrated a commitment to their professions, the guild, knowledge of how to use the guild addons, and the beginnings of leadership roles. The following are the requirements for being promoted to the rank of Noble:
- Have a skill level of at least 100 in both of their primary professions such as crafting, mining, gathering, skinning, etc.
- Serve as a Squire for at least six weeks.
- Have no negative comments in their record for the past 60 days.
- Lead a party through an instance of their choice.
- The party must include at least one member of the guild with the rank of Knight or higher.
- They must use the Group Calendar addon to schedule the run and should employ the use of the Ventrilo server during the run.
- They will lead the party through the instance of their choice providing all instructions, loot rules, plans, strategy, etc. If the strategy includes “marking mobs” then the candidate shall be the one providing the marks. If the instance is multi-part such as Scarlet Monastery or Dire Maul, they only need to complete one part.
Knight
This is the highest non-officer rank. If a person reaches this rank, they are deserving of great honors. They have proven themselves not only as a helper and mentor, but also as a guide and leader of a group. They are truly a valuable member of the guild. But, more challenges await them if they are willing. Promotion to the rank of Knight requires the member meet the following requirements:
- Have a skill level of at least 200 in both of their primary professions such as crafting, mining, gathering, skinning, etc.
- Serve as a Noble for at least eight weeks.
- Have their level 40 mount.
- Have no negative comments in their record for the past 60 days.
- Lead a party through an instance of their choice.
- The party must include at least one member of the guild with the rank of Field Marshal or higher.
- The instance can not be the same instance used for the promotion to the rank of Noble.
- The character level of the aspiring Knight may not be more than five levels above the average mob level in the instance chosen. For example, if the average level of the mobs is 34-36, the guild member must be level 41 or lower.
- They must use the Group Calendar addon to schedule the run and should employ the use of the Ventrilo server during the run.
- They will lead the party through the instance of their choice providing all instructions, loot rules, plans, strategy, etc. If the strategy includes “marking mobs” then the candidate shall be the one providing the marks. If the instance is multi-part such as Scarlet Monastery or Dire Maul, they only need to complete one part.
Field Marshal
This is the first officer rank. This player will have access to the officer chat (/o) and they will hold a seat on the guild council. This person should represent all that is best about the guild. Becoming a guild officer requires the member meet the following requirements:
- Have their epic land mount
- Have a skill level of at least 300 in both of their primary professions and at least one secondary profession.
- Serve as an Knight for at least eight weeks
- Have no negative comments on their record for the past 60 days
- Be recommended to the officer ranks by at least half of the Officers of the guild
- Lead a party through an instance of their choice.
- The party must include at least one member of the guild with the rank of Class Officer or higher.
- The instance can not be the same instance used for the promotion to the rank of Noble or Knight.
- The instance must be considered level appropriate for the candidate. For example, if the average level of the mobs is 60-62, the guild member must be level 62 or lower.
- They must use the Group Calendar addon to schedule the run and should employ the use of the Ventrilo server during the run.
- They will lead the party through the instance of their choice providing all instructions, loot rules, plans, strategy, etc. If the strategy includes “marking mobs” then the candidate shall be the one providing the marks. If the instance is multi-part such as Scarlet Monastery or Dire Maul, they only need to complete one part.
Class Officer
Class Officers hold a special place in the officer ranks. They are in charge of all aspects for their class. These members should be considered to have the most knowledge and be able to field just about any question regarding their class. They have access to the officer chat (/o) and hold a seat on the guild council.
In the event that more than one qualified individual desires the same Class Officer post, the Guild Council shall meet to discuss the issue determine a resolution.
To achieve the post of Class Officer, Field Marshals shall meet the following requirements:
- Have a thorough understanding of their class, including specs they do not normally play
- Have their epic land mount
- Have a skill level of at least 375 in one of their primary professions and one secondary profession.
- Have a skill level of at least 325 in their other primary profession
- Serve as an Field Marshal for at least eight weeks
- Have no negative comments on their record for the past 60 days
- Be recommended to the post of Class Officer by at least half of the Officers of the guild
- Lead a party through an instance chosen by the Guild Master.
- The party must include at least one member of the guild with the rank of Class Officer or higher and the Guild Master.
- The instance will not be one previously used by the candidate for any rank progression.
- The instance will be considered level appropriate for the candidate. For example, if the average level of the mobs is 60-62, the guild member must be level 62 or lower.
- They must use the Group Calendar addon to schedule the run and should employ the use of the Ventrilo server during the run.
- They will lead the party through the instance providing all instructions, loot rules, plans, strategy, etc. If the strategy includes “marking mobs” then the candidate shall be the one providing the marks.
Assistant Guild Master
The Assistant Guild Master is a post that will typically only be held by one individual at a time. This person shall be chosen from the officer ranks and appointed to the post by the Guild Master. This person will have almost all the same powers as the guild master and shall be trusted to run the guild in the absence of the Guild Master.
